Legend holds that the Prince gifted his personal elixir recipe to Captain John MacKinnon on the Isle of Skye as thanks for his loyalty after the Battle of Culloden. This whisky liqueur, made with Scotch, heather honey, herbs, and spices, wasn't commercially produced until the early 1900s in Edinburgh. The brand is known for this signature product, and its name is said to derive from the Gaelic "an dram buidheach," meaning "the drink that satisfies." The exact recipe remains a closely guarded secret, known to only a few people.
