The Rusty Nail sometimes gets a bad rap, but I think it’s a brilliant cocktail when made correctly. This variation shines because the approachable Monkey Shoulder blended malt supports Drambuie’s honeyed, herbal character without a fight, and that bright hit of expressed lemon oil ties it all together.
Recipe Ingredients
2 oz. (60 ml) Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt Scotch Whisky Add to Cart
1 oz. (30 ml) Drambuie Liqueur Add to Cart
Expressed lemon oil
1 oz. (30 ml) Drambuie Liqueur Add to Cart

Recipe Directions
1. Combine 2 oz. (60 ml) Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt Whisky and 1 oz. (30 ml) Drambuie in a mixing glass.
2. Add ice and stir until properly chilled.
3. Strain into a chilled rocks glass over fresh ice.
4. Express lemon oil over the drink. Discard the peel.
