Don Q Gold Rum hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico, produced by Destilería Serrallés, a family-owned business since 1865 and one of America's oldest. The Don Q brand itself was launched in 1934, named after the classic novel Don Quixote, symbolizing the family's pursuit of rum-making perfection. This isn't a new kid on the block; the Serrallés family has been crafting rum for six generations. Don Q is renowned for being the best-selling rum in Puerto Rico and is recognized for its commitment to quality and sustainable practices, even using a unique strain of yeast and artisan aging in American white oak barrels. Notably, the original Piña Colada was created in 1954 by Ramon "Monchito" Marrero using Don Q Rum. Don Q Gold is a blend of rums aged from 1.5 to 5 years and lightly carbon filtered.

Don Q Gold offers a classic rum profile with hints of vanilla, caramel, and a touch of oak, making it notably smooth.
