The Lucky Stone -- Variation #1
The Lucky Stone is one of those drinks that just clicks. You get the spice of the Irish whiskey, the dry nuttiness of the Amontillado sherry, and this wonderful, rich apricot note. It's complex, spirit-forward, and a cocktail I find myself returning to often.
Recipe Ingredients
1 oz. (30 ml) Lustau Dry Amontillado Los Arcos Add to Cart
1/2 oz. (15 ml) Giffard Abricot Du Roussillon Add to Cart
2 dashes Peychaud's Bitters Add to Cart
Expressed lemon oil
Cocktail cherry for garnish
Recipe Directions
2. Combine the whiskey, sherry, apricot liqueur, and bitters in a mixing glass.
3. Add ice and stir until properly chilled.
4. Strain it off into your prepared glass.
5. Express the lemon oil over the drink, then discard the peel.
6. Garnish with a cocktail cherry.
