Founded by four Western expats, the brand draws its name and inspiration from the historic Tanglin district, once home to spice plantations. Tanglin Gin is known for crafting spirits that reflect Singapore's cultural melting pot, incorporating Asian botanicals like orchid, amchoor (dried unripe mango), and Java pepper alongside traditional gin ingredients. Their distillery, now located on Dempsey Hill, a former nutmeg plantation, even features a gin jungle and bar, offering a full experience for visitors. Notably, their Tanglin Black Powder Navy Strength Gin achieved a Triple Platinum award at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, a testament to its quality.
