The Modified Carajillo
The Carajillo is a solid two-ingredient cocktail, but I’ve always thought it could be even better. My modification is straightforward: add an ounce of an excellent reposado tequila, which turns a simple coffee drink into something special. This is the exact combination I reach for. Licor 43 brings its signature sweet vanilla and citrus notes, a perfect match for rich espresso. The Siete Leguas Reposado is what pulls it all together, adding a clean, cooked agave character and a touch of oak that balances the sweetness and deepens the coffee flavor. 1.5 oz. (45 ml) fresh espresso
Grated coffee bean for garnish
