The Modified Carajillo

The Carajillo is a solid two-ingredient cocktail, but I’ve always thought it could be even better. My modification is straightforward: add an ounce of an excellent reposado tequila, which turns a simple coffee drink into something special. This is the exact combination I reach for. Licor 43 brings its signature sweet vanilla and citrus notes, a perfect match for rich espresso. The Siete Leguas Reposado is what pulls it all together, adding a clean, cooked agave character and a touch of oak that balances the sweetness and deepens the coffee flavor. I've selected these specific craft spirits for the Bitter Bear spirits shop because they are smart, versatile additions to any home bar. You’ll find all the cocktail ingredients you need right here, curated by me, Anders Erickson.
