The Millionaire Royal is a true study in balance. You get rich bourbon, bright citrus, and that silky egg white texture, but it's the whisper of absinthe and a grating of nutmeg that really makes it sing. It’s sophisticated without being stuffy.
Recipe Ingredients
3/4 oz (22.5 ml) egg white (sub aquafaba for egg-free)
1/2 oz (15 ml) Portland Syrups x Anders Erickson Grenadine (or my DIY recipe*)
1/2 oz (15 ml) Grand Marnier Add to Cart
1.5 oz (45 ml) Evan Williams 1783 Small Batch Bourbon Add to Cart
3/4 oz (22.5 ml) fresh lemon juice
1 bar spoon (5 ml) St. George Absinthe Verte Add to Cart
Grated nutmeg for garnish
1/2 oz (15 ml) Portland Syrups x Anders Erickson Grenadine (or my DIY recipe*)
1/2 oz (15 ml) Grand Marnier Add to Cart
1.5 oz (45 ml) Evan Williams 1783 Small Batch Bourbon Add to Cart
3/4 oz (22.5 ml) fresh lemon juice
1 bar spoon (5 ml) St. George Absinthe Verte Add to Cart
Grated nutmeg for garnish
Recipe Directions
1. Combine the egg white, grenadine, Grand Marnier, bourbon, lemon juice, and absinthe in a shaker tin.
2. Dry shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds to emulsify the egg white.
3. Add ice to the shaker and wet shake until well-chilled and frothy.
4. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass.
5. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
