The Adonis
The Adonis is one of those brilliant, low-ABV cocktails that really sings. It’s a straightforward and elegant build that hinges entirely on the beautiful conversation between a dry, nutty Amontillado sherry and a rich, herbal Italian vermouth. That little bit of orange oil on top brightens the whole thing up. It's a surprisingly complex, savory sipper that belongs in any home bar rotation, proving you don’t always need a high-proof base to create a truly memorable drink. We've gathered the exact bottles I use to make this classic right here in the House of Bitter Bear spirits shop, taking the guesswork out of crafting this perfectly balanced cocktail. You can trust these specific craft spirits, from the Lustau Amontillado to the Cocchi Vermouth di Torino, to deliver the character this drink deserves. It’s a perfect example of how quality cocktail ingredients are the foundation of a great home bar.
