Negroni -- Variation #3

This is my ideal Negroni. The gin-forward split allows The Botanist's huge botanical profile to stand tall next to the classic Campari bitterness and rich Cocchi spice. It creates a brighter, more complex version where every ingredient has its say. This is balance.

Recipe Ingredients

1.5 oz. (45 ml) The Botanist Islay Dry Gin Add to Cart
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) Campari Aperitivo Add to Cart
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) Cocchi Vermouth Di Torino Add to Cart
orange zest for garnish

Recipe Directions

1. Combine the gin, Campari, and vermouth in a mixing glass.
2. Add ice and stir until well-chilled.
3. Strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass.
4. Express the oils from an orange zest over the drink, then drop it in.
