Negroni -- Variation #2

While I'll always have a place for the classic equal-parts Negroni, this gin-forward variation is the one I find myself building most often. Pushing The Botanist to the front lets its complex Islay botanicals really open up, creating a drier, more aromatic cocktail.

Recipe Ingredients

1.5 oz. (45 ml) The Botanist Islay Dry Gin Add to Cart
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) Cocchi Vermouth Di Torino Add to Cart
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) Campari Aperitivo Add to Cart
Expressed orange oil & orange peel for garnish

Recipe Directions

1. Chill your serving glass.
2. Combine the gin, vermouth, and Campari in a mixing glass.
3. Add ice and stir until properly chilled and diluted.
4. Strain into your chilled glass over fresh ice.
5. Express the oils from an orange peel over the drink, then drop it in as garnish.
