The Worthy Park Estate itself dates back to 1670, with rum production recorded as early as 1741, making it Jamaica's oldest sugar and rum producer. Though rum production paused in the 1960s due to market oversupply, a new, modern distillery was built in 2005, reviving a long tradition. This particular unaged overproof is a noteworthy blend, as it's the first Jamaican overproof to combine rums distilled from both molasses and fresh sugarcane juice, all sourced from the estate and distilled in a Scottish-made copper pot still. Known for their "cane field to glass" approach, Worthy Park crafts this bold, 63% ABV spirit with no additives, delivering distinct notes of ripe banana, papaya, passionfruit, and a bright, grassy sugarcane character.
