Launched in 2013, it wasn't an overnight idea but the result of meticulous planning to create a gin specifically for cocktails, famously starting as a concept on a cocktail napkin. The brand is known for this "bartender-first" approach, even designing its bottle with an ergonomic shape and measurement marks for ease of use in a busy bar. Fords Gin is distilled in London and features a blend of nine botanicals, sourced through Joseph Flach & Sons, a company with a history of importing botanicals since 1882. This London Dry Gin is celebrated for its versatility in a wide array of classic cocktails, a quality achieved by reverse-engineering the flavor profiles of these drinks to determine the ideal botanical mix.

Fords Gin offers a balanced botanical profile where juniper and coriander provide a classic backbone, complemented by bright citrus notes of lemon and grapefruit, and subtle floral hints of jasmine and orris. This structure allows it to shine in a variety of cocktails, particularly a classic Martini or a refreshing Gin and Tonic, but it also holds its own beautifully in a Negroni, showcasing its versatility.
