Bulleit Bourbon

Bulleit Bourbon, a Kentucky straight bourbon, traces its origins to the 1830s when Augustus Bulleit, a Louisville tavern keeper, aimed to create a uniquely flavored bourbon. His high-rye recipe set his whiskey apart, but he mysteriously vanished in the mid-1800s. In 1987, his great-great-grandson, Tom Bulleit, revived the family recipe and established the Bulleit Distilling Company. Known for its high rye content (around 28% of the mash bill), Bulleit offers a distinct, bold, and spicy character. While the brand was initially produced at other distilleries, Diageo, the current owner, opened a dedicated Bulleit distillery in Shelbyville, Kentucky, in 2017 and a visitor's center in 2019.

Bulleit Bourbon, with its high-rye backbone, offers a bold, spicy character alongside smooth maple, oak, and nutmeg notes.
