Ardbeg Corryvreckan, hailing from the rugged south coast of Islay, Scotland, is a celebrated single malt Scotch whisky. It takes its name from the formidable Corryvreckan whirlpool located to the north of Islay. First released in 2008, initially for the Ardbeg Committee, it has since become a fixture in Ardbeg's core range. The Ardbeg distillery, with a history stretching back to 1815, is renowned for its powerfully peated and smoky whiskies, often with underlying sweet notes. Corryvreckan itself is noteworthy for its maturation in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and new French oak, contributing to its intense, peppery, and deeply peaty character. This non-chill filtered whisky is bottled at a bold 57.1% ABV.
