The General Harrison's Eggnog Recipe
This recipe might be the best eggnog out there. The secret is swapping heavy cream for dry hard cider, which gives it a bright, crisp finish. You still get that holiday warmth from the rum and allspice dram, but it's astonishingly crushable.
Recipe Ingredients
1 whole egg
1 oz. (30 ml) El Dorado 8 Year Rum Add to Cart
1/4 oz. (7.5 ml) St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram Add to Cart
1/2 oz. (15 ml) rich Demerara syrup (2:1 sugar:water)
3 oz. (90 ml) dry hard cider
Grated nutmeg for garnish
1 oz. (30 ml) El Dorado 8 Year Rum Add to Cart
1/4 oz. (7.5 ml) St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram Add to Cart
1/2 oz. (15 ml) rich Demerara syrup (2:1 sugar:water)
3 oz. (90 ml) dry hard cider
Grated nutmeg for garnish
Recipe Directions
1. Get that whole egg into your shaker tin.
2. Add the Demerara rum, allspice dram, and your rich Demerara syrup.
