The El Diablo

The El Diablo has always been one of my favorites for its simple brilliance. You get that wonderful, spicy character from the reposado tequila, which is perfectly balanced by tart lime and ginger beer. The crème de cassis just ties it all together beautifully. It’s a supremely refreshing highball.

Recipe Ingredients

1.5 oz. (45 ml) Siete Leguas Reposado Tequila Add to Cart
1/2 oz. (15 ml) fresh lime juice
1/2 oz. (15 ml) Jules Theuriet Crème de Cassis de Dijon Add to Cart
3 oz. (90 ml) ginger beer
Inverted lime rind filled with the crème de cassis for “interactive” garnish

Recipe Directions

1. Combine the tequila, lime juice, and crème de cassis in a highball glass.
2. Add ice.
3. Top with ginger beer.
4. Garnish with an inverted lime rind filled with crème de cassis.
