The Cable Car

The Cable Car is one of those modern classics I find myself returning to. It's such a smart riff on the Sidecar, swapping brandy for spiced rum. That interplay between the warm spice, the dry curaçao, and bright citrus is just perfect. A truly thoughtful, delicious cocktail.

Recipe Ingredients

1.5 oz. (45 ml) Kōloa Kauaʻi Spice Hawaiian Rum Add to Cart
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao Add to Cart
1 oz. (30 ml) fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz. (15 ml) simple syrup
Expressed orange oil
Cinnamon sugar rim

Recipe Directions

1. Take your chilled coupe and rim it with cinnamon sugar.
2. Combine the rum, curaçao, lemon juice, and simple syrup in your shaker.
3. Add ice.
4. Shake well until properly chilled.
5. Double strain into your prepared glass.
6. Express orange oil over the top.
