Southside
The Southside is often called a gin Mojito, but I think it’s so much more. The split base of lemon and lime juice is what makes it shine, giving the gin’s botanicals and the fresh mint a brighter, more complex stage. It's a truly great sour.
Recipe Ingredients
1/2 oz. (15 ml) fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz. (15 ml) fresh lime juice
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) semi-rich simple syrup (1.5:1 sugar:water)
6-10 mint leaves
Mint sprig for garnish
Recipe Directions
2. Pour in the gin, lemon juice, lime juice, and simple syrup.
3. Fill the shaker with ice.
4. Shake vigorously until well-chilled.
5. Double strain into a chilled glass.
6. Garnish with a mint sprig.
