Harvest Moon Punch

This is the punch I make when the leaves start to turn. That combination of aged rum and apple brandy gives it a serious, warming structure, while the pear, allspice, and black tea bring all those classic fall notes. It's dangerously sessionable for a crowd.

12 oz. (360 ml) Appleton Estate Rare Casks 12 Year Reserve Add to Cart
9 oz. (270 ml) Laird's Straight Apple Brandy 100 Proof Bottled In Bond Add to Cart
6 oz. (180 ml) Rothman & Winter Orchard Pear Liqueur Add to Cart
3 oz. (90 ml) St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram Add to Cart
6 oz. (180 ml) rich Demerara syrup (2:1 sugar:water)
9 oz. (270 ml) fresh lemon juice
24 oz. (720 ml) black tea (chilled)
Grated nutmeg for garnish

Recipe Directions

1. Grab a large punch bowl or pitcher.
2. Combine the rum, apple brandy, pear liqueur, allspice dram, rich demerara syrup, and fresh lemon juice in the vessel.
3. Add the chilled black tea.
4. Stir everything thoroughly to integrate.
5. Chill the punch well, or add a large ice block to the bowl before serving.
6. Serve over fresh ice.
7. Garnish each glass with freshly grated nutmeg.
