Corpse Reviver No. 1 -- Variation #2

Here’s a Corpse Reviver No. 1 riff I find myself returning to. The split base of rich Cognac and punchy Applejack creates a serious backbone, brightened by that sweet vermouth and lemon oil. These are the kind of craft spirits we curate for the Bitter Bear spirits shop.

Recipe Ingredients

1 oz. (30 ml) Maison Rouge V.S.O.P. Cognac Add to Cart
1/2 oz. (15 ml) Laird's Straight Applejack 86 Add to Cart
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) Cocchi Vermouth Di Torino Add to Cart
Expressed lemon oil and peel for garnish

Recipe Directions

1. Grab a mixing glass and your jigger.
2. Add one ounce of Cognac.
3. Follow with half an ounce of Applejack.
4. Then, three-quarters of an ounce of your sweet vermouth.
5. Add ice to the mixing glass.
6. Stir that until it's nicely chilled and diluted.
7. Strain into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass.
8. Express the oils from a lemon peel over the drink, then use it as your garnish.
