I'm a huge fan of the Artist's Special. It’s a clever, old-school sour where dry, nutty Amontillado sherry and a proper bonded bourbon create surprising complexity. For me, it’s a perfect example of how a few thoughtful cocktail ingredients build something truly memorable for your home bar.
Recipe Ingredients
1 oz. Old Grand-Dad Bonded Bourbon Add to Cart
1 oz. fresh Lustau Dry Amontillado Los Arcos Add to Cart
3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice
3/4 oz. homemade groseille syrup* or homemade grenadine
1 oz. fresh Lustau Dry Amontillado Los Arcos Add to Cart
3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice
3/4 oz. homemade groseille syrup* or homemade grenadine
Recipe Directions
1. Combine bourbon, sherry, lemon juice, and syrup in a shaker.
2. Add ice.
3. Shake until well-chilled.
4. Double strain into a chilled coupe.
