Whiskey Sour -- Variation #2
I love this version for its depth. Using a rich Demerara syrup instead of simple gives the bourbon a wonderful weight and texture. Add the Angostura and a bright lemon oil finish, and you have a sour that’s both classic and completely dialed in.
Recipe Ingredients
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) lemon juice
1/2 oz. (15 ml) rich Demerara syrup
1/2 oz. (15 ml) aquafaba
3 drops Angostura Aromatic Bitters Add to Cart
lemon oil for garnish
Recipe Directions
2. Dry shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
3. Add ice to the shaker.
4. Shake until thoroughly chilled.
5. Double strain into a chilled glass.
6. Express lemon oil over the drink for garnish.
