This is the Ward Eight I want to drink. A bold, 100-proof rye gives it the necessary backbone against fresh citrus, but the real magic is homemade grenadine. It brings authentic pomegranate fruitiness, creating a beautifully balanced, bright sour that completely redeems the drink.
Recipe Ingredients
2 oz. (60 ml) Rittenhouse Straight Rye Whisky Bottled in Bond Add to Cart
1/2 oz. (15 ml) fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz. (15 ml) fresh orange juice
1/2 oz. (15 ml) homemade grenadine
Orange slice and cocktail cherry for garnish

Recipe Directions
1. Combine rye whiskey, lemon juice, orange juice, and grenadine in a shaker.
2. Add ice.
3. Shake until well-chilled.
4. Strain into a chilled coupe.
