The Slow Mojito Recipe

This is the proper way to build a mojito, right in the glass. Gently muddling these specific cocktail ingredients brings out all those bright lime oils and fresh mint. It's a favorite method of mine, Anders Erickson, for creating a textured, richer drink your home bar deserves.

Recipe Ingredients

2 oz. (60 ml) The Real McCoy 3 Year Rum Add to Cart
1/2 of a lime - cut into four pieces
1 tbs. raw Demerara sugar
10-12 mint leaves + mint sprig for garnish

Recipe Directions

1. In a sturdy glass, combine lime pieces, Demerara sugar, and mint leaves. Muddle gently to release oils and juice.
2. Add the rum.
3. Fill the glass with ice.
4. Stir briefly to incorporate.
5. Garnish with a mint sprig.
