The Irish Coffee
The Irish Coffee is an all-time great for a reason. It’s a cocktail of beautiful contrasts: hot, spirit-forward coffee meeting a cool, rich cream float. Using Powers and a proper Demerara syrup makes for a truly definitive and satisfying version. It’s basically a hug in a glass.
Recipe Ingredients
1/4 oz. (7.5 ml) rich Demerara syrup (2:1 sugar:water)
3-3.5 oz. (90-105 ml) hot coffee
Top with heavy cream (lightly whipped)
Recipe Directions
2. Add the hot coffee.
3. Gently layer the lightly whipped heavy cream over the top.
