Siesta
The Siesta is a modern classic for a reason; think of it as a Hemingway Daiquiri's tequila-loving cousin. For me, the success of this drink hinges on using a blanco tequila with a strong, agave-forward character, which is why I always reach for Siete Leguas. Its bright, peppery notes slice right through the assertive bitterness of Campari, creating a foundation that the fresh grapefruit and lime tie together perfectly. It’s a beautifully balanced and refreshing cocktail that is surprisingly simple to build. That’s why these specific bottles are featured here at the House of Bitter Bear; they are fundamental cocktail ingredients that belong in any serious home bar. This collection of craft spirits is the official Anders Erickson spec, and it’s an excellent way to make a truly satisfying drink.
