This drink is pure audacity, and that’s why I love it. Using a full ounce of Angostura bitters as the base is a wild move that pays off, creating a spicy foundation that rich coffee and a whole egg smooth into a velvety, unforgettable flip.

Recipe Ingredients

1 oz. (30 ml) Angostura Aromatic Bitters Add to Cart
1 oz. (30 ml) espresso or cold brew concentrate*
1/2 oz. (15 ml) rich Demerara syrup (2:1)
1 whole egg
Grated coffee bean for garnish

Recipe Directions

1. Grab your shaker tin. Add the Angostura, espresso or cold brew concentrate, rich Demerara syrup, and the whole egg.
2. Cap it up and give it a good dry shake for about 15 seconds to emulsify that egg.
3. Now, add a generous amount of ice to the tin. Give it another hard shake until it's properly chilled.
4. Double strain it out into your preferred glass.
5. Garnish with some freshly grated coffee bean.
