A properly made Jack Rose is a thing of beauty, not the cloying drink some remember. When you use real 100-proof apple brandy and good grenadine, it becomes a bright, potent, and perfectly balanced sour where that crisp apple character just sings. It’s a classic for a reason.
Recipe Ingredients
1.5 oz. (45 ml) Laird's Straight Apple Brandy 100 Proof Bottled In Bond Add to Cart
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) homemade grenadine
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) fresh lemon OR lime juice
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) homemade grenadine
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) fresh lemon OR lime juice
Recipe Directions
1. Combine the apple brandy, grenadine, and lemon or lime juice in a shaker.
2. Add good ice.
3. Shake hard until well-chilled.
4. Double strain into a chilled coupe.
