Hot Buttered Rum
People sometimes sleep on Hot Buttered Rum, but done right, it's a winter masterpiece. The key is balancing the rich butter and warm baking spices with a robust, dark rum. This version is decadent, warming, and exactly what you want on a truly cold night.
Recipe Ingredients
1 Tbs room temperature butter OR a favorite non-dairy substitute
1 Tbs packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Pinch of ground clove
Pinch of ground allspice
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
4 oz. (120 ml) hot water
Cinnamon stick for garnish
Recipe Directions
2. Add the room temperature butter and vanilla extract.
3. Pour in the hot water. Stir vigorously until the sugar dissolves and the butter is fully emulsified.
4. Add the Goslings Black Seal Rum. Stir to integrate.
5. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
