Greta Garbo -- Variation #1
This Greta Garbo variation is a favorite because it treats absinthe as a core component, not just a rinse. That quarter-ounce adds a beautiful, complex anise character that plays perfectly with the rum and funky maraschino. It’s a Daiquiri with a serious point of view.
Recipe Ingredients
1/4 oz (7.5 ml) Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur Add to Cart
3/4 oz (22.5 ml) fresh lime juice
1/2 oz (15 ml) semi-rich simple syrup (1.5:1 sugar:water)
1/4 oz (7.5 ml) St. George Absinthe Verte Add to Cart
Star anise for garnish
Recipe Directions
2. Into your shaking tin, combine the rum, maraschino, fresh lime juice, semi-rich simple syrup, and absinthe.
3. Fill the tin with ice. Give it a good, hard shake until thoroughly chilled.
4. Retrieve your chilled glass and double strain the cocktail into it.
5. Garnish with a star anise.
