Bourbon Renewal -- Variation #2
I find myself making this Bourbon Renewal variation constantly. That rich, jammy blackcurrant from a proper crème de cassis creates a brilliant counterpoint to the bourbon’s spice and the fresh lemon’s bite. It's a perfectly balanced, ridiculously tasty sour that’s always a winner.
Recipe Ingredients
1/2 oz. (15 ml) Jules Theuriet Crème de Cassis de Dijon Add to Cart
1 oz. (30 ml) fresh lemon juice
1/4 oz. (7.5 ml) semi-rich simple syrup (1.5:1)
1-2 dashes Angostura Aromatic Bitters Add to Cart
Lemon wheel for garnish
Recipe Directions
2. Add ice to the shaker.
3. Shake well until thoroughly chilled.
4. Double strain into a chilled coupe or rocks glass.
5. Garnish with a lemon wheel.
