Belmont Jewel
Most official racetrack cocktails are a real gamble, but the Belmont Jewel is a sure thing. The Oloroso sherry is the secret here, adding a nutty, savory depth that plays perfectly against the bright pomegranate and spicy bonded bourbon. It's surprisingly complex and ridiculously refreshing.
Recipe Ingredients
1.5 oz. (45 ml) Old Grand-Dad Bonded Bourbon Add to Cart
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz. (15 ml) pomegranate grenadine*
1/2 oz. (15 ml) Lustau Don Nuno Oloroso Dry Sherry Add to Cart
2-3 oz. (60-90 ml) Topo Chico Sparkling Mineral Water
Mint sprig for garnish

Recipe Directions
1. Combine bourbon, fresh lemon juice, pomegranate grenadine, and Oloroso sherry in a shaker.
2. Add ice and shake until thoroughly chilled.
3. Strain over fresh ice into a highball glass.
4. Top with Topo Chico sparkling mineral water.
5. Garnish with a mint sprig.
