Applejack Rabbit

The Applejack Rabbit is one of those drinks that feels both classic and clever, and it’s a personal favorite of mine for good reason. It all starts with a proper, 100% apple, bottled-in-bond brandy; that robust spirit is the absolute key. A split base of orange and lemon juice provides a balanced acidity that plays perfectly against the brandy's warmth, while a little dark maple syrup lends a complementary, woodsy sweetness. We've brought these essential cocktail ingredients together for the House of Bitter Bear because this particular combination is simply undeniable. As Anders Erickson will tell you, having these kinds of versatile and authentic craft spirits on hand is the whole point of building a great home bar.
